OUR STORY

Current Tribal Law & Policy, PLLC is 100% Native-women-owned and founded to serve Indian Country. We were raised and remain deeply involved in our tribal communities. We possess extensive education and experience in Federal Indian Law as well as tribal law and governance. We believe our deep roots and experience enable us to better understand our clients' specific needs and to develop innovative and culturally-framed solutions.

Every aspect of our work is guided by cultural principles and values, from the services we offer to every interaction with clients. Our name, Current, is inspired by the powerful waters of our ancestral homelands, which have served as a refuge, source of economic development, and gathering place for our peoples for generations. The currents of our waters are strong but the people of the dark water are stronger. Our logo was thoughtfully created by a Catawba artist and features traditional water and floral motifs, reflecting our rich heritage.
